Michael Gale
I am a practicing painter and maker; art teacher and registered Art Therapist.
I trained in Fine Art in the 70’s, and while teaching art in mainstream and special schools, became fascinated by the healing potentials of art making. I completed a three year post graduate training in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1996.
I have been practicing as a therapist within the adult mental health service, drug and alcohol dependency, and for the past 12 years I have run groups and provided one-to one art therapy in schools and institutions for young adults.
My experience is both as a group work facilitator and as a participant in a wide range of self development, dance and movement processes.
